One Reel for TikTok and Shorts
Repurpose one reel by exporting a clean 9:16 file with burned-in captions. Do not depend on a sticker that only exists inside Instagram.

To repurpose one reel to TikTok and Shorts, export a 9:16 file that already contains the captions and the title. Stickers added inside Instagram do not travel. The picture, the words, and the audio have to be in the file. Then post that file natively. A blurry re-record of your screen is not a repurpose.
Burn in the words
If the title matters, it is pixels. Auto-captions on the next app will guess again, and they will guess differently. Your burned-in line stays stable.
Leave the safe zone anyway
Each app covers a slightly different edge. Keep words in the upper-middle so a new button does not eat them. Do not place a handle in the corner as the only credit.
Change the caption, not the cut
The file can be identical. The caption line can name the app's audience if needed. Do not re-edit the picture unless a claim is wrong for that place.
A worked example
One 22-second explainer, title burned in, captions burned in, no app sticker. Posted to Reels, TikTok, and Shorts the same afternoon. Only the first caption sentence changes to match the local phrase.
Before you post
- Captions are in the file.
- Words sit in the upper-middle.
- You did not screen-record the preview.
Where Scro fits
Scro burns captions and the opening title into the edit and exports 9:16, so the file is the reel. You are not rebuilding stickers per app.
Export a file you can reuse. Finished samples are on the examples page.
