A costume walk reel starts on the shoes and reveals the outfit at the end. No talking. The walk is the edit.
A Halloween costume walk reel keeps the camera low on the legs while the person walks forward, then pulls back to show the full costume. The October 2026 version was quiet on purpose. No caption essay. The reveal is the last frame. Use an original costume, not a character you do not have rights to.
Shoes first
If the first frame is the full costume, there is no walk. Start tight on the boots or the hem. Hold it long enough that people lean in.
One continuous direction
Walk toward the lens or along it, not both. A generated clip that changes hallway halfway reads as two costumes. Same floor, same light.
Original costume
A bedsheet, a paper crown, a painted jacket: fine. A frame-for-frame copy of a film monster or a branded character is not your reveal.
A worked example
Low frame: black boots and a hem of brown paper leaves. Three steps. Pull back: the same adult in a homemade tree costume in their own hallway. No words. Cover is the boots.
